Welcome to The Hun School website. I hope the following information proves useful to you as you explore the many facets of our School. Don’t hesitate to call us at (609) 921-7600 to obtain more specific data related to any of the subjects presented on this site.
The Hun School is composed of wonderful students and competent, caring and concerned faculty and administrators. Complementing our extensive curricular offerings, we offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities that are intended to enhance our students’ experiences and provide additional opportunities for them to explore their interests and develop their talents. We are an institution where students not only prepare for their next level of academic challenge but also acquire a background necessary for their successful entry to adulthood and acceptance of their citizenship responsibilities.
Our School was founded on the principles of academic excellence, commitment, kindness, respect, trust, and integrity and our entire community practices these words in realistic terms on a daily basis. While our curriculum is demanding and our expectations are high but fair, our environment for learning is characterized by support for each individual and respect for his/her abilities. We are proud of our tradition of developing insightful, independent, and contributing young men and women.
I am fortunate to have graduated from The Hun School myself; to have been a faculty member, coach, advisor, and administrator for six years upon graduating from college; and after twenty-two years serving other educational institutions in Florida, to be appointed as the head of the School in 1994. I regard my various tenures here as a privilege and I am honored to lead the School in the interests of a wonderful and vibrant student body and to work with an extraordinary group of faculty and administrators.
