Behavior disorders in children
Behavior disorders in children are quite common especially before they reach the age of 18. Usually, many people don’t know about the disorder which is why they regard the child to be a bad person or they regard the parents as bad parents. However, this is not a result of poor parenting but is a disorder instead which needs to be treated. Children are usually aggressive and they can act badly in certain situations. It is common amongst most of the children. All children are likely to misbehave which is why parents need to teach their children to behave well. However, if a child crosses a limit and acts out of his/her age then he/she is likely to have a behavior disorder. Several common symptoms of Behavior disorders in children are threatening themselves and others, damaging stuff, stealing, lying about every other thing, drinking alcohol at a very young age and smoking.

Oppositional defiant disorder is a popular type of behavior disorder and can be found in many children. This is usually common under the age of twelve and especially in boys. The symptoms of ODD are quite easy to spot and some of these are getting angry easily, getting frustrated all the time, blaming others for any problems, arguing constantly with parents and teachers, having a short temper and purposely annoying others.
Conduct disorder is another common behavior disorder. This is usually common in kids under the age of ten. This particular disorder is not related with having a short-temper or getting angry easily but is related with the child breaking rules regularly and disobeying parents and teachers. Some common symptoms are breaking the rules, physical fighting with others, telling major lies, stealing and destroying people’s property without any specific reason.
Behavior disorder, if not treated at an early age, is likely to cause problems in the future. Bad behavior can lead to bad habits and can also lead to an individual being suicidal. Therapy and treatment is needed to cure behavior disorder.
