This strange behavior of children is one of the major differences between children and adults. However, there are some unusual cases where a child acts out of his/her age. If you feel that your child is behaving in a very unusual way or is doing something that he/she is not supposed to do then it is likely that the child has a behavioral disorder. Behavioral disorders in children can have a lot of problems in the future if not treated at a young age.

One of the most common behavioral disorders in children is the depression disorder. Basically, this is related to severe depression faced by a child. Previously, people claimed that depression was only common in adults and not in children; however, recent statistics have shown that two out of every 100 children are likely to face severe depression. This particular disorder is likely to lead to a lack of concentration in school and the child is likely to stay upset all the time feeling that he/she is not important in any way.

Eating disorder is another type of behavior disorder and is quite more common in girls than in boys. Usually, eating disorders are likely to occur with children who think that they are overweight and who constantly try to diet and watch out for fat foods. Eating disorders can have a great problem in a child’s life and is a life threatening issue. Bulimia nervosa is a common eating disorder where individuals eat a massive quantity of food and they try to exercise severely or try to vomit it out to lose the calories.
