An aggressive behaviors in children are a serious issue. Such children cause a lot of problem for their parents. Parents have to deal in a special manner with the children who are aggressive in nature. Childhood period is very important for any child’s life. Children adopt or practice certain things in their childhood and then they develop a habit of doing the same thing in the rest of their life. Development of aggressive behaviors in children means that the child will always exhibit such kind of behavior in his future life. In case of children, aggressiveness proves to be very destructive, it destroys their entire personality. In early age of their life they start violating rules, beating others, frighten their fellows or disrupt lessons. Such kinds of attitude never allow a child to excel in future.
FACTORS LEADING TO AGGRESSIVENESS
There are certain factors that lead to aggressiveness shown by children:
- Physical punishment: If children are badly punished physically in their childhoods then they tend to show more aggressiveness. Children who witness domestic violence and are physically abused are at higher risk for emotional and psychological maladjustment than children who witness violence and are not abused (Rosewater & Goodmark, 2007; Edleson, 2004).
- Ignorance of Parents: Children always require more attention of their parents. If the child is ignored by his parents at the very early stage of his life then he might feel alone and face certain difficult feeling which will ultimately result in aggressiveness.
- Stress and Anxiety: Stress and anxiety may contribute to the development of aggressiveness in children so such things should be eliminated from their lives.
- Aggressiveness shown in front of children: Parents should be very careful when they are angry in front of their children. Children tend to adopt most of the things from their parents so if they react aggressively in front of them then there children will automatically learn to react aggressively in future in that particular situation.
